McKenzie Bottled in Bond Wheated Bourbon is made by Finger Lakes Distilling in New York and bottled at 100 proof. The distillery is classified as a New York State Farm Distillery and uses locally grown grains. The spirit comes off a column still with a thumper at 130 proof, and the casks are filled at 100 proof. The rick house is heated in winter so the whiskey still sees a good swing between cold and hot. The palate brings plenty of woody oak, and the finish offers sweet baking spices and vanilla.
