Medicinal Branca is an Italian brandy sold in a one litre bottle and labelled as Cognac.
The label belongs to the period before 1951, the year in which Italian brandy was forbidden from using the word Cognac. A bottle like this therefore shows a naming practice that was later ruled out, and it is a small piece of the history of Italian brandy under the Branca name.
