Meikle Toir The Original is a five-year-old peated single malt from Speyside, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, which gives a sweeter peat character than coastal peat would be expected to.
On the nose there are baking spices, burnt honey and espresso, with hazelnuts, smoked almonds and butterscotch. The palate brings sweet peat, rich chocolate and heather honey, with cinnamon, ginger and oak-smoked sugar.
