A Chianti DOCG from Melini with a bright ruby red colour. The nose shows ripe cherry, strawberry, light floral notes, earthy hints and fine spice. On the palate there is a good mid-palate, a slightly bitter note reminiscent of cherry skin, and a finish of sweet spices. The sip is lively, supported by savoury freshness, with medium body, well-integrated tannins and a pleasant persistence. It suits tomato-based dishes, rustic soups, roast meats and aged cheeses.
