Merlot Alto Adige DOC XV Alois Lageder

A Merlot from one of the most suitable areas of Alto Adige, where the alpine climate and Mediterranean influence give a balance between acidity and ripeness. It shows a complex aromatic richness, with ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, spicy nuances and delicate balsamic accents. Ageing in wood gives structure and softness without overpowering the wine's freshness, leaving it harmonious and persistent. On the palate the tannin is velvety, accompanying a pleasant roundness. It pairs well with white meat, roasts and semi-aged cheeses.
