A Merlot from the Colli Orientali area of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is ruby red, bright and intense in colour.
The nose shows ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, with sweet spice and herbaceous notes typical of Merlot. The palate is balanced, with soft, silky tannins and good acidity, giving a long, persistent finish with forest berries and light woody touches from wood ageing.
It pairs well with red meat, roasts, game and aged cheeses.
