Merlot Venezia DOC Terre Petrose

Merlot Venezia DOC from Terre Petrose comes from vineyards in the Venetian plain, with clay soils and a temperate climate. It shows an intense ruby colour and a bouquet rich in fruity notes, with cherry and ripe plum alongside delicate spicy hints. On the palate it is soft and velvety, with well-integrated tannins and a balanced, persistent finish. Ageing, typically in steel tanks and partly in wood, enhances the freshness of the grape and adds roundness.
