Metaxa 5 Stelle Brandy (70cl)

Metaxa 5 Stelle is a Greek brandy made by Metaxa. It is a blend of wine distillates and Mediterranean aromatic herbs, including myrrh and anise, matured for at least five years in French oak casks. The casks give it a golden colour and a bouquet of ripe apricot, fig, vanilla and sweet spice, with hints of rose petals and chocolate. On the palate it is soft and rounded, with honey, dried plum, a touch of oak dryness and a long aromatic finish with sweet spice and milk chocolate notes. It is best served neat at room temperature, but also works as a base for cocktails, and pairs with chocolate or fruit desserts and aged cheeses.
