Mezcal Baltazar Cruz Tepextate (70cl)

Mezcal Baltazar Cruz Tepextate is an artisanal mezcal made from Agave Tepextate, harvested by hand in Oaxaca. It is produced at the palenque of Baltazar Cruz, where slow cooking in traditional stone ovens gives it a complex aromatic profile with balanced smoky and earthy notes. On the palate it has a full, enveloping body, with notes reminiscent of fresh grass, white pepper and delicate floral hints, supported by a subtle mineral persistence typical of mature, wild agaves grown at high altitude. Ageing mainly in steel preserves the purity and intensity of the plant's organoleptic characteristics. It is best enjoyed neat to appreciate every nuance, and pairs well with traditional Mexican dishes such as mole or grilled meats.
