Michel Couvreur Overaged is a lightly peated blended malt, bottled at 43%. It is made from whiskies distilled in Scotland, then aged in Burgundy for 12 to 20 years in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is reduced with water from the Pentland Hills.
It was named best European whisky at the International Whisky Competition in 2013.
On the palate it opens with plum, raisin and orange, and the peat smoke comes through gradually. The finish is spicy, with cocoa.
