Michel Couvreur Special Vatting (45%)

Special Vatting from Michel Couvreur is a blended malt made from three single malts, each more than twelve years old. It is bottled at 45% ABV after reduction with Scottish water. One of the malts is powerful and concentrated, matured in sherry casks. Another is younger and more iodine, bringing fruit and freshness. The third balances the whole, moving between peat and fruit. The notes are of leather, tobacco and wood, with a slight iodine edge and fairly marked peat.
