Michel Couvreur The Unique (70cl)

The Unique is a whisky bottled under the name of Michel Couvreur, an independent bottler with its cellar in Burgundy. Couvreur began as a Burgundy wine producer and merchant, then worked in Scotland, where he learned how whisky is made. The house works mainly with sherry and port casks, and its whiskies are aged in its own cellar at Bouze-lès-Beaune, 150 metres of galleries cut into the rock. Each bottle is corked, waxed and labelled by hand, and the distillery behind the whisky is never named on the label.
