Michter's 10 Year Old Single Barrel Rye is the 2025 release of a Kentucky straight rye, aged for ten years in fire-charred new American oak. Each bottle comes from an individually selected barrel and is hand-bottled, so strength varies from barrel to barrel; it is typically around 46.4% ABV. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is rich caramel, rye spice and toasted oak, with a hint of citrus zest. The palate has warm baking spices, vanilla bean, dried fruit and leather. The finish is long and dry and spicy, with lingering sweetness and rye grain character.
