Michter's – Barrel Strength Sour Mash Whiskey 2026 (75cl, 55.8%)

This is the first barrel strength release of Michter's US*1 Sour Mash, distilled and bottled in Louisville, Kentucky. It is bottled uncut, and each batch has its own strength: the 2026 batches ran from 110.4 to 112.6 proof, averaging 111.5 proof (55.75% ABV). The whiskey was matured in toasted, fire-charred new American white oak barrels, entering the barrel at 103 proof. Its grain selection means it is neither a bourbon nor a rye, but sits between the two. Michter's sour mash was a popular Pennsylvania product in the 1970s and 1980s before it left the market in 1989. It was revived in Kentucky in 2012.
