Michter's Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a 45.7% bourbon in a 750ml bottle, from the US*1 line made in Louisville, Kentucky. It has no age statement and is matured in fire-charred new American white oak.
Each batch is drawn from a holding tank sized for a maximum of 20 full barrels. Master Distiller Dan McKee and the tasting panel decide when a batch is ready for release.
The notes describe rich caramel and balanced vanilla with stone fruit and smoky depth, and spice from the warehousing. The finish is long, with lingering oak and maple syrup.
