A small-batch American whiskey from Michter's of Louisville, Kentucky, bottled at 41.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in used bourbon barrels rather than new charred oak, which is why it is labelled American whiskey and not bourbon. It is unblended, with no added grain neutral spirits.
The nose is butterscotch and buttery corn, lifted by ripe fruit and a little caraway. The palate is creamy and rich, with golden syrup, sultanas and gentle warming spice. It finishes on soft peach and apple, with corn sweetness returning.
