Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey (75cl, 43%)

Michter's US*1 Sour Mash is an American whiskey bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It revives the distillery's most popular expression of the 1970s and 1980s; the original disappeared in 1989 and returned in 2012. The whiskey is aged in fire-charred new American white oak. Michter's keeps its grain recipe private, and the whiskey sits outside both the bourbon and rye categories. Expect toasted sugar and spice on the nose, then a silky palate of candied cherry, honeyed vanilla, dried fruit and herbal tea with roasted nuts. The finish is long and turns peppery.
