This is the 2025 release of Michter's US-1 Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash Whiskey, a limited edition small batch Kentucky whiskey bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It begins as Michter's US-1 Sour Mash and is then given a second maturation in custom barrels made from 18-month air-dried wood, with a low char and high toast. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose is toasted caramel, light smoke, baking spice, vanilla bean and warm oak. The palate brings butterscotch, cinnamon toast, charred wood, dark fruit and toffee. The finish is long and velvety, with vanilla, toasted coconut and subtle spice.
