Micil Earl's Island Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey (46%)

Earl's Island from Micil is a fruity, spicy Irish pot still whiskey bottled at 46%. About three quarters is triple-distilled Irish pot still whiskey finished in ex-Bordeaux red wine casks. The remaining quarter is also triple-distilled pot still whiskey, finished in peated quarter casks. It is a tribute to Dublin's former distilleries and the long-established wine merchants who made the city their own. The nose is spicy, with dark fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg and soft vanilla. On the palate come red apple, dark cherry, nutmeg, pot still spice and rhubarb, and the finish is long, fruity and spicy.
