Midleton Very Rare 2016

Midleton Very Rare 2016 is an Irish whiskey that combines a smooth character with old pot still complexity. It is matured exclusively in American oak barrels and has a deep golden colour. A small number of casks are selected each year by the Master Distiller, Barry Crockett, in a series running since 1984. Each bottle is individually numbered and carries his signature. The nose brings tropical fruits, sweet shops, candy floss, ginger snaps, toasty oak, vanilla, fresh oranges and apples. The palate is soft, with honey, beeswax and floral notes, then ground ginger, vanilla, oak and a hint of old engine oil.
