Midleton – Very Rare 2024 Edition (70cl, 40%)

Midleton Very Rare is an annual vintage release of Irish whiskey, made each year since 1984 by the Master Distiller of Midleton. The 2024 edition marks forty years since the first vintage release and is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. For this edition, Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman increased the grain percentage and the amount of medium pot still whiskey. Midleton makes three pot still styles: light, medium and heavy. He also raised the number of first-fill American oak barrels used for both the pot still and grain whiskey. The 2024 release won a Silver Medal at the IWSC Spirit Awards 2024.
