Midleton Very Rare 2024 Vintage Release is an Irish whisky from Midleton Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is a dark amber colour.
The floral delicacy of the grain spirit and the spice of the pot still meet the influence of American oak and charred oak, giving a silky, rounded texture.
The nose is led by vanilla with floral and herbal notes, then orchard fruit, cinnamon, clove, fresh-cut hay, toffee and heather honey. On the palate come peach and nectarine, crème brûlée, caramelised apple and chocolate-coated honeycomb. The finish is long, with fruit and American oak fading gently.
