Midleton – Very Rare Bottled 2007 (70cl, 40%)

Midleton Very Rare Bottled 2007 is an Irish blended whiskey from the Midleton Distillery near Cork, bottled in 2007 at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is blended from single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys, all matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon casks and selected by hand. Each bottle of this limited release is numbered. The first Midleton Very Rare was created in 1984. The nose brings floral notes, roasted coffee beans, salted caramel, honeycomb, nectarine, ginger and nutmeg. The palate has baked orchard fruit, vanilla, sweet coffee liqueur, cocoa powder, charred vanilla oak and creamy nuttiness. The finish shows an earthy spice among ripe, almost candied fruit and soft tannins.
