Milam and Greene – Triple Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

This is a straight bourbon from Milam and Greene, bottled at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It blends three straight bourbons: the distillery's own pot-still Texas bourbon, a Kentucky column-still whiskey and sourced Tennessee whiskey, with components aged between 2 and 11 years. The mash bill is 70% corn, 22% malted rye and 8% barley, made with a proprietary yeast. The whiskey is batched, proofed and bottled in Blanco, Texas. Tasting notes describe vanilla, florals and spice over cedar and hazelnut on the nose. The palate is creamy and soft, with honey-roasted peanut, vanilla bean, dried fig and baking spice. The finish is medium-warm, with maple sugar sweetness giving way to cinnamon and lingering tannins.
