Milam & Greene Port Cask Finish is a straight rye whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 47% ABV. It starts as Indiana rye, which is brought to Texas and finished in old Port wine casks.
The Texan sun influences how quickly and how strongly the casks pass their flavour to the whiskey, and some casks take longer than others. The team tastes the whiskey regularly while it finishes, until the flavours are where they want them. The casks are then batched together, tested and proofed before bottling.
