Milam & Greene – Triple Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey (47%)

Triple Cask is a batch of three straight bourbons from three states, bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). The first is a Texas bourbon made in a 300-gallon pot still. The second is a Kentucky whiskey from a continuous column still, and the third is a sourced vintage Tennessee whiskey. The Texas and Kentucky distillates share a mash bill of 70% corn, 22% malted rye and 8% barley. Master distiller Marlene Holmes and her team distil in Blanco, Texas, and Bardstown, Kentucky. The barrels age across the three states before final aging, batching, proofing and bottling in Texas. The colour is deep gold. The nose has vanilla, florals and spice, the palate is creamy and soft, and the finish is medium and warm with tannins.
