Milk & Honey Elements Red Wine Cask is an Israeli single malt made at the Milk & Honey Distillery in Tel Aviv. It is made from 100% malted barley, double-distilled in copper pot stills, and is certified kosher.
The whisky matures first in ex-bourbon barrels and is then finished in ex-red-wine casks from Israeli wineries. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The nose offers red dried fruits such as plum and cranberry, with ginger, toasted oak and a faint minerality. On the palate, vanilla, oak, apple and mixed spice meet a tannic edge from the wine cask. The finish is of medium length, with dried fruit and a dry, oaky warmth.
