Milk & Honey – Elements Sherry Cask (46%)

An Israeli single malt from Milk & Honey, the distillery in Tel Aviv, bottled at 46%. A large part of it matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, specially made in Jerez, and it is described as the first whisky matured in kosher sherry casks. By make-up, 40% of the whisky came from sherry casks, 55% from Bourbon casks and 5% from STR red wine casks. It was named the world's best single malt at the World Whisky Awards in 2023. The nose has red fruits, mild oak, caramel and fresh lemon. The palate is medium-bodied, with light fruity sherry sweetness and dark chocolate, and the finish is long, with dark chocolate, tobacco and oak.
