This is a ten-year-old Dutch single malt from Millstone, made by Zuidam. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024 after maturing in Oloroso sherry casks, and it is labelled Special #33.
Zuidam is a family-run distillery. Its barley is milled in the traditional Dutch way, fermented for a long seven days and distilled slowly in pot stills, and the spirit matures in the distillery's own warehouse.
The whisky is silky and soft, with aromas of sandalwood, dark chocolate and cherries that move towards cigars, spicy oak and vanilla.
