Milroy's Original is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40%, in a 70cl bottle. It is based on a recipe that dates back to the 1960s, and fudge and orchard fruit run through it.
The nose opens with gentle fudge and poached pear, then chocolate-covered raisins, orange peel and coconut, with clove and cinnamon later on.
On the palate it is gently warming and buttery, with vanilla ice cream, apricot, sponge cake and soft black pepper. The finish is medium in length, with peppery cinnamon and oak.
