Miltonduff – 31 Year Old 1995 Murray McDavid Margaux Wine Cask Finish

This is a 31-year-old Speyside single malt, distilled at Miltonduff in 1995 and bottled in 2026 as a single cask at cask strength. It matured first in hogsheads. Murray McDavid then gave it a double finish for the Mission Gold series, combining Pedro Ximénez sherry casks with Margaux wine casks from Bordeaux. The sweetness of the sherry meets the more elegant character of the French wine wood. The nose offers fine orange oils, creamy fudge and a subtle herbal note. The palate is rich with fruitcake, dark chocolate and malty sweetness. The oily finish brings soft mocha and mild oak spice.
