Minor Case Straight Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Limestone Branch Distillery, bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. The rye was distilled in Indiana from a mashbill of 51% rye, 45% corn and 4% malted barley, then aged for 24 months in new charred American oak.
It was then finished for six months in Meiers Winery #44 Cream Sherry casks.
The nose brings dark cherry and dried fig, then vanilla, grape candy and spearmint. On the palate, cinnamon, black pepper and clove give way to sweet cherry, caramel and butterscotch. The finish is medium in length, with clove, cedar and bittersweet chocolate.
