Mirto di Sardegna Tremonti (70cl)

A Sardinian mirto liqueur from Tremonti, made by macerating myrtle berries grown in unspoilt areas of Sardinia, followed by slow distillation. It has an intense dark violet, almost black colour. The nose is rich and complex, with berry fruit, aromatic herbs and a light balsamic trace. On the palate it is velvety and well balanced, with a sweet entry supported by good acidity. Blueberry, mint and rosemary lead to a long, pleasantly fresh finish. Serve chilled as a digestif after meals, or use as a base for cocktails.
