Green Spot is an Irish whiskey made for the Dublin merchant Mitchell & Sons, here in a bottling from before 2012 at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Historically Jameson produced it for the merchant at the Bow Street distillery.
It is matured in a mix of first and second fill bourbon casks and sherry casks, and is thought to be about seven to nine years old. The name refers to the merchants' old habit of marking casks with a splash of paint to track how long the whiskey had aged.
