Moët & Chandon Collection Impériale Création No. 1 (75cl, 12.5%)

Collection Impériale Création No. 1 is a multi-vintage Brut Nature champagne from Moët & Chandon, made with no dosage and bottled at 12.5% vol in a 75cl bottle. It is the first Brut Nature the house has released, created for its 280th anniversary under cellar master Benoît Gouez. The blend is 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 20% Meunier, built from seven vintages. The 2013 base, aged in stainless steel, makes up 42.5%. Wines from 2012, 2010, 2008, 2006 and 2000 aged in oak make up another 42.5%, and 15% is 2004 aged on its lees in bottle. Production was 75,000 bottles. Citrus, white flowers and orchard fruit sit over brioche, roasted nuts and pastry. Saline minerality and fine bubbles lead to a long, complex finish.
