Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky from William Grant & Sons, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a vatting of three Speyside single malts, Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie, with no grain whisky in it. Each batch is assembled from 27 casks, which gives the bottle its Batch 27 name, and the whisky rests in marrying tuns for up to six months. Maturation is mainly in first-fill ex-bourbon oak. The nose is zesty orange peel, vanilla, raw honey and lightly spiced oak. The palate is creamy vanilla and butterscotch, then orange and honey. The finish is long, with vanilla, oak spice and dried orange peel.
