Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky from William Grant & Sons, bottled at 40% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of three single malts. The name refers to a temporary condition among maltmen, who turned malted barley by hand with a wooden shovel, which left an arm hanging down like a monkey's shoulder. It is described as rich and fruity, with hints of vanilla, honey and spice. It can be drunk neat or used in cocktails such as the Rob Roy and the Penicillin.
