Montepulciano D'abruzzo DOC - Masciarelli

A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC from Masciarelli, with an immediate and approachable profile. It is intense ruby red with slight violet reflections. The nose opens with ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, alongside delicate floral notes and hints of sweet spice. On the palate it has medium-full body, soft tannins and good freshness supporting the fruit, with a savoury, persistent finish. It suits rustic Italian dishes such as cured meats, ragù pasta, grilled white and red meats, and medium-aged cheeses. Serve around 16-18 °C and drink in the medium term to appreciate the grape's typical freshness.
