A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva from Monti Guidi, with a composed and recognisable personality. Deep ruby in colour, it opens with ripe red fruit, plum and light notes of spice and tobacco, plus subtle floral and balsamic nuances.
In the mouth it has full body, present but well-integrated tannins and sustained acidity. The finish is persistent, with fruity notes and a discreet savouriness. It pairs with red meat, stews and hard cheeses, and also with mushroom or ragu dishes. Serve slightly aerated in a wide glass at 16-18 C.
