Morellino di Scansano DOCG Lohsa Poliziano

This red wine is made by Poliziano from Sangiovese and Canaiolo grown at Magliano in Tuscany. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing partly in large oak barrels and partly in stainless steel for about eight months, then a short rest in bottle before release. It is ruby red, with aromas of red fruit, cherries and plums, spice and balsamic notes. The palate is savoury and fresh, balanced, with well-integrated tannin and a pleasant, persistent finish. It suits pasta with meat sauce, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses.
