This is a 15 year old Mortlach single malt, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Labels range, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in selected oak casks and has a deep golden amber colour.
The nose brings ripe plums and baked apples, dark chocolate and vanilla, with a light veil of peat smoke. On the palate there is toasted malt, cinnamon and clove, then leather, tobacco and a little burnt caramel. The finish is long and spicy, with a fresh balsamic note.
