This is a 30 year old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, distilled 2.81 times. It was finished in Bordeaux wine, Calvados and Guatemalan rum casks.
The whisky is deep in colour and complex. Dark fruit, savoury herbs and a vinous undertone run through it.
It opens on mellow apple and rich wine, then moves into a long, spicy finish with black pepper.
