Mortlach – Rare Old (50cl, 43.4%)

Mortlach – Rare Old is a single malt whisky from Mortlach (Speyside). Bottled at 43.4% ABV, 50cl. The Rare Old was launched in 2014 as part of the new Mortlach core range. After drawing criticism for its high price point and small bottle sizes, the range was quickly rethought again 2018 with this expression discontinued. A heavyweight Speyside malt distillery that is home to Scotland's most complex distillation regime. Famously distilling its spirit 2.81 times, its whisky is synonymous with the Johnnie Walker blends and beloved as a single malt, particularly when sherry cask-aged.
