Moscato di Pantelleria DOC - Kabir - Donnafugata

A sweet aromatic wine from Pantelleria, produced mainly from Zibibbo, a local synonym for Moscato d'Alessandria, on the volcanic island between Sicily and Tunisia. It has a bright golden-yellow colour. The nose shows ripe apricot and peach, citrus, floral notes reminiscent of orange blossom and a light trace of sweet spices such as vanilla. On the palate the sweetness is balanced by lively acidity, with candied fruit and a light mineral aftertaste on the persistent finish. Serve chilled at about 8-10 C. It pairs with dry pastries, blue cheeses and foie gras, and suits the end of a meal.
