Mossburn 12 Year Old Finished in Foursquare Rum Casks (75cl, 57.7%)

A 12 year old Speyside blended malt from Mossburn, bottled at 57.7% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the first release in the Mossburn Cask Collaboration Series. The whisky was matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in American oak casks that previously held rum from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados. Tasting notes describe dark cane sugar, molasses and banana on the nose, ripe banana and tropical sweetness on the palate with caramelised sugar and orchard fruit beneath, and a warm, sweet, long finish.
