Mossburn Ardmore Distillery 2008 Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 46%)

Mossburn Ardmore Distillery 2008 is a 10-year-old blended malt Scotch whisky from Ardmore in the Eastern Highlands, bottled by the independent bottler Mossburn Distillers & Blenders at 46% in a 75cl bottle. The spirit was distilled in 2008 from peated barley and aged in re-used Islay barrels, which lift the peat into open woodsmoke over the Highland character. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose combines smoke with light vanilla and apple. On the palate there is more smoke, with toffee and malt sweetness, and the finish settles into a light hint of cloves and warm, woody cinnamon.
