Mossburn Ephemera Wandering Willie 15 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 56.7%)

Wandering Willie is a 15 year old blended malt from the Mossburn Ephemera Collection, created by master blender Neil Macleod Mathieson. It combines two single malts distilled in 2009, one Highland and one Speyside, and is bottled at a cask strength of 56.7% in an edition of 180 bottles for the UK. The whisky was aged in refill hogsheads, finished in double-toasted virgin European oak and married in a 1000 litre French oak foudre. It is non-chill filtered and has no colouring added. The name comes from a 17th-century blind fiddler who wandered Border inns telling cautionary folk tales. Heather, vanilla and peach are the notes it is known for.
