Mossburn No.14 Royal Brackla 9 Year Old (75cl)

Mossburn No.14 is a single malt Scotch whisky from Royal Brackla, aged for nine years in smaller bourbon barrels and presented in a 75cl bottle. It comes from a select batch of casks in the Mossburn Vintage Casks range, and each numbered release yields a finite number of bottles. Brackla was founded in 1817. Its spirit is made with a medium fermentation, and the wash and low wines pass through upward-angled lyne arms, giving plenty of reflux and esters. The nine years in wood mellow the fresh, fruity spirit. The nose shows dried fruit and oaky spice, and the palate adds vanilla, baked apple and caramel malt.
