Mossburn Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Mossburn Speyside is a blended malt Scotch whisky, one of the first releases under the Mossburn label and part of its Signature Cask Series. It is a blend of mature whiskies from different Speyside distilleries. It is matured twice: first in re-used American whisky barrels, then in custom-made Mossburn hybrid casks built to Cask Bill #2. These combine two woods, including staves from first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, and the maturation draws on three different cask woods in all. Bottled at 46%, it is described as showing honey, spice and a delicate floral nuttiness, with a rich, fruity character.
