Mossburn Speyside Blended Malt is a Scotch whisky blended from mature single malts of several Speyside distilleries. It is unpeated, bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The whisky is matured twice. It spends its first maturation in American oak barrels, then moves to Mossburn Cask Bill #2, which is custom Oloroso sherry butts fitted with heavily charred American oak heads.
The nose offers barley, orchard fruit, honey and vanilla, with floral notes and a hint of cherry and honeydew. The palate is smooth, with sweet malt, vanilla and exotic fruit over soft spice. The finish is medium, with malty vanilla, white pepper and lingering sherry sweetness.
